Concept class- The Musketeer

The ideal look for it… well if you saw the man in the iron mask, D’Artagnan or eh I guess it sound like dar taun yau still whatever he would be a perfect match.
The movie is the 1998 version... yeah it’s cool, I don’t know about a female model though, probably would end up looking like she couldn’t afford clothes in the end anyway. Still sorry to not to have a good picture.. but here is what I could find




Just follow that.. 2nd from the right is the dude, you can’t tell well, so you might as well just see the clothes.

Notice how it is different than a normal sword you would think of.



If you don't know this is a picture of a musket held by hand... not a jumbo jet one.



Quick summary of the class- Well "All for one and one for all" should ring a bell lol. Still this class is indeed a melee class, with a bit of a ranged twist. In fact it has no spells. You may be thinking… wait we have that… it’s called a warrior. A warrior is many things… but being a Musketeer is not one of them, a warrior is a tank and a battle ready… well warrior. It isn’t a ranger either… no pet, no bow, no arrows, and not the great adaptation of the wilderness. A musketeer by definition is a “a foot soldier armed with a musket.”


Armed with a Rapier and musket this soldier relies on not only his skills, but with the help of his allies. This is a somewhat merge of two sounded like an interesting idea.. Since it has been kind of done already, ritualist anyone? Right now you are thinking, what the heck >_< guns?! Eh well... not quite, you must realize a musket is not something scareface has… it is a single shot weapon...

Since it is a musket, it has skill that have semi-slow recharges, and slow speeds. This character is not a caster, although it does have quite a high max energy for such a thing, one reason because unlike an assassin, while in combat most of the time the Musketeer will lose much energy, and while in combat it cannot be recovered quite so easily.


You must get your hands dirty to gain a lot of energy. Be warned though, the musketeer is not a solo class; tread alone without your teammates for support and you will be dead. You also may notice the musketeer, loves to shout… a lot. Some skills work like ritual lord and troll unguent... they are not stances, but they stay active and are not enchantments.

So anyway, here are the attributes.

Musketeer’s Honor(p)- new as of 8-14-06
Musketeer's Honor - everytime you use a skill that effects your allies you gain 1 energy for every 4 ranks in musketeer's honor. In addition you gain 1 energy for skills that effect your foes for every 8 ranks in musketeer's honor.
Rapier mastery- Each level increases the chance of a critical hit. Damage is also higher. Many skills linked to Rapier mastery increase in effectiveness with higher Rapier mastery.

Defensive maneuvers- For every point in defensive maneuvers you have a 1% chance to counterstrike, when you hit with a counterstrike *still counts as a normal attack* you receive ¼ of the health lose due to the attack that hit you if your counterstrike hits. Many skills linked to defensive maneuvers increase in effectiveness with higher defensive maneuvers.

Musket Mastery – For each level in musket mastery, your chances of hitting a critical hit increases, and chance of backfire decreases by 4%. *note* that at 0 Mastery you will have a 50% chance to backfire, when this occurs you deal no damage, and become blinded for 5 seconds. (Musket shots will be affected against blindness as normal, i.e. 90% chance to miss.)



Attack rate for rapier is the same as a sword, daggar, axe. you know 1.33.

Damage i guess would be 16-24 slightly higher than the normal sword, because you cannot use an offhand or sheild.

Musket has the speed of a horn bow, which is the slowest bow. This musket has the range of a short bow.

Damage would be 16-29

So here is a summary of what each is used for... I tried to keep them not overpowered.

Musketeer’s Honor (p) - this is your primary, it is the heart of the musketeer, for team support, energy, and self heal.

Rapier mastery- this is your melee damaging line, which of course involves a Rapier , which does slightly more damage than a normal sword that a warrior has, but is two handed, instead of a shield, many sword skills work as one.

Defensive maneuvers- This line contains stances and skills that can be used to frankly you are not as fragile, but not as agile as a ranger’s. Or act as a fortress like warriors. As a minor benefit you can counterstrike, which deals normal damage, like a melee attack, with a slight healing bonus, while it itself is not high, you can make it higher.

Musket Mastery- Unfortunally this line is pretty terrible until you can put some points in it. Like I said at 0 points you have a 50% chance to backfire... luckily by level 13 it has no risk of doing that. So a non musketeer has a slight risk always. If you backfire though it is kind of making you pretty useless since attacks by it will then almost always miss. Muskets are two handed *one hand to reload lol* Fire as the speed of hornbows, but have higher damage due to it being a gun. Although the constant threat of backfire isn’t so great, it’s a risk, but luckily blind isn’t permanent, but might require a monk around.

Armor – 80 level armor sets include
+ Energy armor
+ 10 armor while in a stance
+ 10 vs. physical - 10 vs. elemental
+ 10 vs. elemental -10 vs. physical
+ health armor

Base energy is around 40 (with standard armor, it adds about +20 since your base with no armor is 20 energy) and has the same energy regeneration as a ranger would have now. (3 pips)



All skills are listed through 1-12 attribute points. Not all skills possible are listed (just the ones I could think of lol)

The "click here" by the skills are simply the skill icon concept that i have made. So far i am working on them because it seems there are plenty of skills for now. So yeah I may skip some, so work on ones i want, but yeah eventually they will all be done, but i still don't have photoshop. IF you saw my artwork from paint, you don't have to be alarmed, i upgraded to a new free program, and although it won't look nearly perfect, or as good as anet could come with, they are simply a basic concept for them. So yeah, it will not stink, but don't expect miracles.



Musketeer’s Honor (p):

All for one and one for all! All for one and one for all-shout- (10 energy 30 recharge) for 5-13 seconds allies in the area of you move 10% faster, attack 10% faster cast spells 10% faster. If you die while this is active your teammates all take 100-40 damage +4 damage for each second while this was active

Musketeer's recovery Musketeer’s Recovery – skill - (5 energy 2 second activate 8 recharge) You are healed 30-120, if you have any dead teammates you receive 10 less health per dead, if you are adjacent to any undead teammates you receive half regain.

Defend the Backlines! Defend the Backlines!- shout- (5 energy 20 second recharge) For 6-9 seconds, allies gain a 10% speed boost and 20% chance to evade attacks.

Energy Through Unity Energy through Unity -elite skill- (5 energy 2 second activate 15 second recharge) If your entire team is above 50% health you gain 5-20 energy

We must go on!We must go on! - shout- (5 energy 20 second recharge) For 10 seconds, for each undead teammate your team does 1-5% more damage. This only includes your human/henchmen, (people who cry over your pet so much go do iway… or ranger lol)

swords up!Swords Up! -shout- (10 energy 30 second recharge) for 4-9 seconds All allies who use melee weapons, in the area, hit for 2-5 more damage.

For Death and Glory! For Death and Glory! -shout- (5 energy 20 second recharge) for 3-10 second All allies in the area takes 1.5x more damage, but attack and cast spells 33% faster

Musketeer's RageMusketeers Rage – skill- (5 energy 1 second activate 0 second recharge) If you are the last member left alive on your team, for 4-14 seconds you attack for +20 damage. If you are not the last member left alive on your team this skill does nothing.

honor through sacrificeHonor through sacrifice - skill- (5 energy 20 second recharge) For 1-9 seconds, the next time an ally would die, they regain 100-300 health and you lose all health.

musketeer's signetMusketeer's Signet - Signet- (2 second activate 20 second recharge) Target other ally and you attack 15% faster for 5-14 seconds.

watch your back! Watch your back! - shout- (15 energy 30 second recharge) For 4-16 seconds allies gain +10 armor and 25% chance to evade attacks.

cleanse yourselvesCleanse Yourselves- skill- (5 energy 2 second activate 13 second recharge) – All allies in the area are cured of poison and disease.

Lungs of Steel Lungs of Steel –stance-(5 energy 30 second recharge) – For 10-30 seconds, your shouts last 5-20% longer.

Cheers Cheer’s – skill- (5 energy 20 second recharge 2 second activate) For 5-25 seconds your team gains double moral boost, but also double death penalty.

into battle!Into Battle!-shout-(5 energy 13 second recharge)- For 3-7 seconds allies move 30% faster and have a 30% chance to evade attacks until they attack.

Standing Ovation Standing Ovation-skill- (5 energy 15 second recharge 1 second activate) If your team has killed a foe in the last 2-8 seconds your entire team is Immune to knockdowns for 2-6 seconds.

Fght through the pain! Fight Through The Pain! –Shout-(10 energy 30 second recharge) – For 3-12 seconds, allies in the area inflict .1% more damage per health point lost from their maximum health.

Run for your lives!Run For Your Lives!-Elite shout- (10 energy 20 second recharge) For 1-4 seconds allies in the area move 50% faster.

So tired So Tired-skill- (5 energy 1 second activate 20 second recharge) – If you have above 30 energy you gain no energy. If you have 26-30 energy you gain 1-5 energy. If you have 21-25 energy you gain 1-6 energy and this skill takes an additional 1 second to activate. If you have 16-20 energy you gain 1-7 energy and this skill takes an additional 2 seconds to activate. If you have 11-15 energy you gain 1-8 energy and this skill takes an additional 3 seconds to activate. If you have 6-10 energy you gain 1-9 energy and this skill takes an additional 4 seconds to activate. If you have 1-5 energy you gain 1-13 energy and this skill takes an additional 5 seconds to activate.

Controllable Tactics Controllable Tactics –skill-(10 energy 20 second recharge 1 second activate)- You attack 50% slower for 3-10 seconds. Enemy skills and spells that cause you to miss are negated, blind is not included and your own or your team’s skill that cause you to miss are not included either.

shining honorShining Honor-elite skill-(10 energy 20 second recharge 3 second activation)- Create a shining honor field in your area (size of a ward) For 2-9 seconds, allies in “shining honor” Gain 1-10 armor, +1 energy regeneration, and +1 health regeneration.

double up Double Up-elite skill-(10 energy 40 second recharge 2 second activation)- For 5-30 seconds you may have 2 stances in effect, when double up ends so do the stances. Also when this ends, all your stances are disabled for 20-8 seconds.

stand by meStand By Me-shout-(5 energy 20 second recharge) – For 2-9 seconds, all allies in the area gain a 10% chance to evade attacks. Nearby allies gain a 15% chance to evade attacks. Adjacent allies gain a 20% to evade attacks.

take me insteadTake Me Instead-skill-(10 energy 10 second recharge 4 second activation)- Target ally is revived with the same amount of health and energy as you have. After you successfully activate this skill you die but do not receive a death penalty. This skill has the range of a normal spell, although it is a skill.

arm your countrymenArm your Countrymen!-elite shout-(10 energy 25 second recharge)- All human npcs in the area that are no hostile to you become your ally for 2-19 seconds and fight for you like henchmen. All human npcs in the area that are a foe become neutral for 2-9 seconds.
(basically this skill can be used in places like guild halls to make the enemy npcs not attack for a short period of time, although it may not work on the guild lord, if it normally would it shouldn’t. In pve this can be used in such places where peasants are, and they will fight for you for awhile)

limited staminaLimited Stamina-skill-(5 energy 20 second recharge 2 second activate)- For 3-13 seconds you gain 1 energy when you hit a foe. When Limited Stamina ends you lose all energy.

courage to fightCourage To Fight-stance-(10 energy 20 second recharge) – For 3-17 seconds, while you are in combat you receive +1-3 health regeneration, but while you are not in combat you receive 3-1 health degeneration.

armor means nothingArmor Means Nothing!-shout-(10 energy 15 second recharge)- All nearby foes lose 10 armor for 3-8 seconds.

heed my wordHeed My Word-skill-(5 energy 30 second recharge 1 second activate)- For 3- 16 seconds, all allies under the effect of your shouts move 15% slower, but the shouts last 15% longer.

valor consuming mistsValor Consuming Mists-stance-(5 energy 20 second recharge) For 3-16 seconds you have 4-2 health degeneration. While attacking foes they have the remaining degeneration you don’t have.
(like at 16 musketeers honor.. or it might be less I didn’t figure out the higher level yet, just 1-12. Anyway, I would assume you would have 1 health degeneration and since 4-1 = 3, the foes you attack would have 3 degeneration.

hold it togetherHold it Together!-shout-(5 energy 30 second recharge) – For 1-11 seconds, allies in the area cannot be affected by more than 2 conditions at any one time.

our freindship does not end hereOur Friendship Does Not End Here!-shout-(5 energy 30 second recharge)- For 1-6 seconds, allies in the area cannot receive fatal hits, but those under 20% health when this ends are left with 1 health point.

give upGive Up!-shout-(10 energy 20 second recharge)-If any foes in the area have less than 40% health they deal 20% less damage for 1-12 seconds.

fierce fighting stanceFierce Fighting-stance-(5 energy 25 second recharge)- For 10-30 seconds your attacks cannot be evaded, but you have 20-10 less armor and receive +10-5 damage when you are hit from attacks.

fight with honorFight With Honor!-shout-(10 energy 10 second recharge)- All foes in the area casting hexes in the are interrupted and allies who are under the effect of a hex have a 1-3 second reduction to all hexes on them.

don't lose strideDon’t Lose Stride!-shout-(15 energy 35 second recharge)- All allies in the area gain a 33% movement increase for 1-18 seconds, unless any of those allies stop, if one stops all other allies under the effect of this shout return to normal speed.

honor of rurikHonor Of Rurik-stance-(5 energy 20 second recharge)- For 1-25 seconds all allies in the area with you have +1-2 health regeneration and their attacks have a +5-14% chance of hitting a critical hit.

solemn virtue of Master TogoSolemn Virtue Of Master Togo-stance-(5 energy 20 second recharge) – For 1-25 seconds all allies in the area with you all protected by the spirit of master togo and receive 1-3 damage reduction and a 5-16% chance to evade attacks.

sorrySorry!-shout-(5 energy 20 second recharge)- If you are under 50% health, all allies in the area except you gain 2-9 energy.

energy rushEnergy Rush-skill-(5 energy 25 second recharge 2 second activate)- For 6-11 seconds you gain 5 energy when you use a rapier or musket skill. After this skill ends you lose all energy and your musket and rapier skills are disabled for 10-5 seconds.

console the bereavedConsole The Bereaved-skill-(5 energy 18 second recharge 2 second activate)- Upon activation, all allies in the area of a dead ally gain 1-6 energy and 2 health regeneration for 3-12 seconds. If they are in the area of multiple allies, additional benefits are halved per additional dead ally.

*Like let’s say you are by 3 dead allies at 12 musketeer’s honor. You would gain 9 energy, 6+3+1 because it is rounded down. And you gain you gain 2 health regeneration for 18 seconds.*

let us restLet Us Rest-skill-(5 energy 30 second recharge 3 second activate)- Upon activation, all allies in the area who are not moving gain +2 energy regeneration and plus 3 health regeneration for 5-15 seconds, as long as they do not move, attack, be attacked, or cast a spell or use a signet or skill.

musketeer's rejuvenationMusketeers Rejuvenation- skill- (5 energy 10 second recharge 4 second activation) - For 3-20 seconds you gain +1 pipe of energy regeneration






Rapier mastery- all Rapier attacks are skills unless stated otherwise

Unhand thou - (5 energy 8 second recharge) Strike foe for + 4-22 damage. If that foe is attacking an ally *not you* that foe is knocked down for 1-2 seconds..

Neck Bane Thrust- (5 energy 5 second recharge) Strike foe for +5-10 damage, if you hit you cause the enemy to bleed for 1-14 seconds.

Energizing Blade (5 energy 10 second recharge) Strike foe for +4-20 damage, if you hit you and your foe both gain 5 energy.

Low Area Assault- (5 energy 4 second recharge) Strike foe for +5-10 damage, if it hits you cripples the target for 1-8 seconds.

Unfocused Lunge- (5 energy 0 second recharge) Strike foe for +4-31damage, this skill is easily interrupted.

Seven Pronged Attack Elite (15 energy 5 second recharge) – Strike foe 7 times, each strike doing 10-5% less damage than the previous slash. This hits at an attack rate of 50% faster than normal slashes.

Interrupting Slash (5 energy 5 second recharge ½ second activate) Interrupt current foes action, if it was a skill it is disabled for 5 seconds, if it is a spell target foe is dazed for 1-3 seconds. If you interrupt a spell this skill takes an additional 4-2 seconds to recharge.

Counter Slash (5 energy ½ activate 7 second recharge) If you hit while your opponent is attacking their attack is blocked.

Unsteady Nudge (5 energy 8 second recharge) Slash twice for +4-16 damage, if either miss you are then knocked down for 2 seconds for each time you missed.

Protecting Blitz (5 energy 10 second recharge) Strike foe for +4-27 damage, if foe is in the area of an ally strike for +1-6 extra damage. If in the area of 2 allies this skill is instantly recharge. If in the area of 3 allies gain 5 energy.

Deep Artery Advance (5 energy 10 second recharge) Strike foe for +5-10 damage, if you hit a foe that is bleeding, you give your foe a deep wound.

Standard Jab - (5 energy 6 second recharge) Strike foe for +4-21 damage

Eye Ache Thrust- (5 energy 10 second recharge) – Strike foe for +5-10 damage, if this hits, the foe is blinded for 1-4 seconds.

Team Boon Onset –(10 energy 12 second recharge) If this hits, each member of your team is healed for 4-30 health.

Blind Fury – (10 energy 16 second recharge) If you are not under the effects of being blinded this skill does normal damage. If you are blinded you attack 10-40% faster, each time you miss your damage when you do hit is increased by +1 (maximum of 35) Every 2 times you miss you lose 1 enchantment.

True Musketeer Thrust- Elite- (5 energy 14 second recharge) If this attack hits you hit for +4-8 damage and inflict bleeding, deep wound and weakness for 2-13 seconds.

Sweeping Tipped Slash (5 energy 5 recharge ½ second activate) You slash all adjacent knocked down foes. Those hit take +4-33 damage.

Brain Dead Strike – (5 energy 8 recharge) – You have a 50-30% chance to hit yourself with this attack. If you hit (yourself or your foe) you deal +5-32 damage and you cause weakness for 4-6 seconds.

Lack Luster Thrust- (10 energy 14 second recharge) This attack strikes for +1-4 extra damage. The next time you use a rapier skill you strike for +5-21 extra damage.

Impulsion to End All Attacks – (20 energy 20 second recharge) – This attack consumes all your remaining energy and adrenaline *if you have any* You strike for +6-27 damage and +1-4 more damage for each condition the foe is suffering.

Exponential Growth Thrust-(10 energy 17 second recharge)- This attack strikes for +3-5 damage. For you next 5 slashes you deal +1-10% more damage than the last. If you use another attack skill, or if any of the 5 additional slashes are evaded, blocked, or miss you stop the rest of the slashes.

Full Cyclone Force –(5 energy 20 second recharge)- All adjacent foes are slashed for +2-7 damage.

Wrath Of Rapier –elite rapier skill(10 energy 12 second recharge)- This skill hits for +5-35 damage.

Lung Puncture – elite rapier skill-(5 energy 16 second recharge)- If this hits you deal +6-12 damage, and you foe suffers exhaustion for 1-10 seconds reducing their maximum energy by 10.

Lunging Salute- (10 energy 14 second recharge)- Touch target foe for 3-12 damage. After you touch them you slash your foe for +4-21 damage.
*slashing salute would normally resemble a punch followed by your hand with the rapier in it slash your foe as you salute them, but for the sake of making it easy to animate I just made it touch, easier programming I guess *

Havoc Blade –(5 energy 12 second recharge)- Strike foe for +7-14 damage. If this skill hits your foe suffers from bleeding or weakness or deep wound or cripple or dazed for 1-4 seconds.

Hiding Pressure Jab-(5 energy 15 second recharge)- Slash foe and lose all energy. You regain that amount of energy +1-6 after 5 seconds.

Prototype Pounce-(10 energy 20 second recharge) This skill has a +50-40% chance to fail. If this hits you deal +1-37 damage. If this fails you lose 10-5 energy and your next 2-1 hits do 0 damage.

Teamwork Powered Strike-(5 energy 2 second activation 17 second recharge)- For each party member your team has you strike for +1-5 additional damage if you hit.

Antagonizing Blade –(5 energy 3 second recharge)- If this hits, you deal +2-5 energy damage for each strike of adrenaline the foe has. This attack gives your foe +1-3 strikes of adrenaline if it hits.

Blunt Force Trauma –(5 energy 19 second recharge) – If this attack hits, you deal +4-9 damage and your foe is interrupted, and your next attack knocks down your foe for 1 second.

A Pain Fit for a Peasant-(5 energy 17 second recharge)- This attacks deals +5-12 damage, if your target has a deepwound they are knocked down for 1 second.

Death From Above-(5 energy 10 second recharge)- This attack fails if you are attacking a knocked down foe. If this hits you deal +1-23 damage, and if your foe is using a skill it is interrupted. If they are casting a spell you knock them down for 1 second.

Death From Below-(5 energy 15 second recharge)- This skill fails if the foe is under the effects of a movement increase. Slash foe for +1-15 damage and knock your foe down for 1 second and for 1-9 seconds your foe cannot gain the effects of a movement increase and cripple slows your foe down by an additional 15%.

Lacerate Fingers-(5 energy 7 second recharge ¼ second activate)- This skill hits for +1-10 damage and if you hit a foe using a touch skill it is interrupted and disabled for 1-7 seconds.

Slash Wrists-elite rapier skill-(10 energy 10 second recharge ¼ second activate)-This skill hits for +1-12 damage. If you hit a foe using a touch skill it is interrupted and all foes touch skills are disabled for 8 seconds.

Shock and Awe Slash-elite rapier skill-(10 energy 15 second recharge)- Slash your foe twice, each slash hits for +2-9 damage. The first slash interrupts your foe, and the second dazes them for 1-5 seconds.

Rampaging Charge-(5 energy 14 second recharge)- If there are any foes in the area, you run at a 60% movement increase to one random foe. If there are no foes in the area this skill fails and you are knocked down. If you manage to hit a foe in the area you deal +3-8 damage and your foe is crippled for 2-4 seconds.

Stab Of Ascalon-(5 energy 8 second recharge)- If you hit your foe, you deal +3-21 damage. If you are under the effect of “Honor Of Rurik” you deal +4-14 damage and this attack cannot be blocked or evaded.

Electrification Of Shing Jea-(5 energy 8 second recharge)- If you hit your foe, you deal +5-33 lightning damage. If you are under the effect of “Solemn Virtue Of Master Togo” you deal +4-20 additional lightning damage.

Tactical Animal Removal-(5 energy 5 second recharge)- If you do not use this skill against an animal foe this skill hits for normal damage. If you do hit a animal you deal +7-51 damage.

Belly Buster-(5 energy 11 second recharge)- This skill hits for +4-9 damage and has 15% armor penetration.

Finishing Strike-(5 energy 18 second recharge)- This skill does normal damage if you do not hit a foe under 40% health. If you do hit a foe under 40% health this skill takes 5 extra energy and you hit for +5-37 damage.

Opening Move-(5 energy 13 second recharge)- This skill does normal damage if you do not hit a foe over 80% health. If you do hit a foe over 80% health you deal +4-25 damage and your next rapier skill costs 3 less energy to use.

Double Strike - (10 energy 11 second recharge) Strike fo twice, each strike hits for +3-17 damage, if either are blocked/evaded or miss this skill takes an additional 6-4 seconds to recharge.




Defensive maneuvers:

Defensive Boon -stance- (5 energy 30 second recharge ) For 5-40 seconds you have a +3-20 percent chance to counter strike, and gain double the health when you do.

Hold Your Ground!-shout- (10 energy 20 second recharge) For 4-10 seconds, all allies in the area gain 30 armor, but move 50% slower.

Evasive Maneuver 14!-shout- (5 energy 60 second recharge) For 3-13 seconds allies in the area have a 25% chance to evade attacks.

Musketeer Swiftness-stance- (5 energy 40 second recharge) For 3-10 seconds you have a 40-75% chance to evade attacks.

Lay off the Alliance! –shout- (10 energy 60 second recharge)- All foes in the area are crippled for 4-16 seconds.

Don’t Cross This Line –skill- (5 energy 30 second recharge) For the next 30 seconds as long as you don’t move, the next foe that moves “nearby” you is knocked down and blinded for 1-6 seconds.

Silence is Golden –skill- (5 energy 10 second recharge) For 3-12 seconds, the next time an enemy uses a shout, it is cancelled out.

Prepared Counter-stance- (5 energy 20 second recharge) For 6-40 seconds, the time you are hit you do 20%-150% damage back.

Reverse footing -stance- (5 energy 30 second recharge) For 4-30 seconds, the next time you hit, or are hit by a foe in a stance, their stance ends and reverse footing becomes that stance that ended, you have the remaining duration of the stolen stance.

I'm UnTouchable! -shout- (5 energy 40 second recharge) For 3-13 seconds Touch skills fail on you, but you take 10% extra damage from all other sources.

We're Untouchable! -Elite shout- (10 energy 30 second recharge) for 3-13 seconds Touch skills fail on all allies in the area, but those allies take 10% extra damage from all other soures.

Helping Touch -skill- (5 energy 15 second recharge) Touch target foe *really punch though lol* to deal +4-23 damage, if that foe is attacking an ally (not you still) that foe is knocked down for 1-3 seconds.

Form A Wall – skill- (5 energy 1 second activate 30 second recharge) For 1-5 seconds you cannot move, but you receive 0 damage from melee attacks and arrows and musket shots, traps and everything except touches and spells..

The Best Offence is a Good Defense- stance- (5 energy 40 second recharge) For 3-14 seconds you deal half damage in all forms (magic, melee, ranged) but you take half damage in all forms.

Exhausting Defense-stance- (5 energy 15 second recharge)- For 4-13 seconds all attacks, arrows, and musket shots fail against you, for every 2 that fail you receive one energy point worth of exhaustion.

The Great Wall of China –Elite Skill – (10 energy 20 second recharge) For 1-6 seconds, all allies in the area cannot move, but they receive 0 damage from melee attacks and arrows and musket shots,traps and everything except touches and spells.

Side Step- stance-(5 energy 20 second recharge) The next attack against you fails and the foe that attacked you is knocked down.

I Shall Hold Them Off!- shout-(5 energy 20 second recharge)- All allies in the area(except you) move 25% faster for 3-12 seconds and you gain 10 armor.

Temporary Fix-stance-(5 energy 30 second recharge)- For 1-8 seconds you receive no damage. When this stance ends you receive all the damage you would have received, if you would die from the damage you lose all health but 1.

Tread Lightly!- shout- (5 energy 25 second recharge)- For 2-7 seconds all allies in the area move 30% slower, but gain a 30% chance to evade projectiles.

Play Dead!-shout-(10 energy 30 second recharge) – All allies in the area are knocked down for 3 seconds. If they are attacked while they are knocked down, the foe is knocked down for 2 seconds and your ally stands up.

You’re your own worst Enemy-elite stance-(10 energy 30 second recharge)- For 3-13 seconds attacks against you are evaded and your foe takes 1-50% of the damage you would have taken.

We are Mighty Together-elite shout-(5 energy 30 second recharge)- For 2-10 seconds all allies gain 40 armor, but if any die while this is active the allies this effected have -40 armor for 20-9 seconds.

Don’t Even Try It!-shout-(5 energy 25 second recharge) – The next 1-4 attacks against you fail.

Evasion is Life-skill-(5 energy 20 second recharge 2 second activation)- For 3-15 seconds, every time you evade an attack you gain 5-20 health.

Back Handed Defense –stance-(5 energy 20 second recharge)- For 3-21 seconds, the next 1-4 attacks against you do double damage. After the attacks are done you are healed double of what damage you took.

Dangerous Assumption-stance-(5 energy 15 second recharge)- For 2-8 seconds if you are hit the next 1-6 seconds you take ¼ less damage. If you are not hit during that time (the 1-8 seconds) you take ¼ more damage for the next 9-4 seconds.

Clockwork Defense –stance- (5 energy 20 second recharge) – For 4-25 seconds, the next 12 attacks against you miss, but after this skill ends you cannot attack for the same duration as this skill was active.

Elude Projectiles –stance-(10 energy 30 second recharge)- For 3-12 seconds, your movement when you are only moving side to side is increased by 50%.

Who needs a Shield?-shout-(5 energy 20 second recharge)- For 2-6 seconds you counter attack all melee ranged physical attacks.

Touch Me and Die!-shout-(10 energy 25 second recharge)- If a foe uses a touch type skill against you in the next 3-9 seconds, your attacks for the next 1-9 seconds cannot be blocked or evaded and hit for +1-4 damage.

Back Up!-shout-(5 energy 20 second recharge)-For 1-9 seconds all allies in the area move _% faster backward (whatever is equal to moving 25% faster forward when you are moving backward, I don’t know if it’s 50% or like 75%)

So Light On Their Feet-stance-(10 energy 30 second recharge) For 1-10 seconds, instead of attacking your foes you touch them, knocking them down for 1 second.

Frontline Defense-stance-(5 energy 20 second recharge)-If you are wielding a rapier, for the next 1-21 seconds you have 1-20% chance of blocking attacks, and if and when you do your counterstrike does +1-5 extra damage.

Backline Defense-stance-(5 energy 20 recharge)- If you are wielding a musket, for the next 1-21 seconds you have a 1-20% chance of blocking attacks, and if and when you do your counterstrike causes your foe to be blinded for 1-2 seconds.

Slash Arrows-stance-(5 energy 20 second recharge)- For 1-16 seconds, if you have a rapier equipped, you have a 60% chance to “slash” arrows that would hit you or adjacent allies. When you do, the arrow has a 30-55% damage reduction to them.

Tergiversate Hammers-stance-(5 energy 20 second recharge)- For 1-13 seconds, you have a 10-50% chance to evade hammer attacks, when you are hit with a hammer attack though you receive 15% more damage.

Rurik’s Defensive Stance-stance-(5 energy 15 second recharge)- For 1-17 seconds, you receive 30% less damage from physical attacks. Elemental damage deals 15% more damage to you though.

Togo’s Channeling Communion-stance-(5 energy 15 second recharge)- For 1-17 seconds, you receive 30% less damage from elemental spells and attacks. Physical damage deals 15% more damage to you though.

Who Needs Stealth-stance-(5 energy 30 second recharge)- For 1-7 seconds, if you block an attack this skill is renewed for another 1-7 seconds.

Near Death-stance-(5 energy 20 second recharge)- For 1-9 seconds if you stay below 30% health you receive half damage, but if your health goes above 30% this skill ends.

Loss of Weight-stance-(5 energy 20 second recharge)- For 1-16 seconds you lose 30 armor, but have a 50% chance to evade attacks. Your movement is also increased by 25%

Into The Storm To avoid the rain-stance-(5 energy 30 second recharge)- For 3-15 seconds you move 33% faster moving forward, but all other directional movement is slowed by 80%.

Signet of Team Sprit-signet- (0 energy 1 second activate 20 second recharge) Upon activation all allies in the area gain 1-2 health regeneration for 3-18 seconds. If any allies die with the effect on them, the rest of which who it is activated on have 2-1 health degeneration.




Musket Mastery:

Musketeers Keen Sight –stance- (5 energy 30 second recharge) For 10-30 seconds you have a 20% Less chance to backfire, and when you do backfire you reduce the blindness to 3 seconds.

Dazing Shot - (10 energy 20 second recharge) Elite Fire at your foe, if you hit you deal +12-30 damage and daze your opponent for 5-20 seconds.

Power Shot – (5 energy 15 second recharge) Fire at your foe, if you hit you deal +7-34 damage.

Fury Shot – (5 energy 4 second recharge) Fire at your foe, if you hit you deal +5-27 damage. This skill is easy interrupted, but if you do hit it is automatically recharge.

Powder Blast- (5 energy 8 second recharge) Create a powder blast at your location, all adjacent foes are hit for 20-50 damage, but you are hit for 50-20 damage.

Foot Shot- (5 energy 12 second recharge) -If this hit’s you cripple your foe for 4-12 seconds.

Musketeers Wager- (5 energy 18 second recharge) – This skill has adds 40% chance of failure. If it hits, you deal +14-40 damage. If it fails you are blinded for and additional 7-4 seconds and you take 30 damage.

Heart Shot- (5 energy 10 second recharge) – If this hit’s it causes your foe to bleed for 2-11 seconds.

Lead Poisoning – (5 energy 14 second recharge) – If this hits it causes your foe to be poisoned for 3-15 seconds.

Pack More Powder - (5 energy 10 second recharge 1 second activate) - Musket Preperation for 20 seconds you have an additional 10% chance to backfire, but all your musket shots hit for +1-7 damage.

Open Wound Shot – (10 energy 10 second recharge) – If this hits you deal +5-15 damage, if you hit a foe that is bleeding you give them a deep wound

Musket Split Volley - (5 energy 6 second recharge) elite musket attack- Hit target for +6-32 damage and and the musket ball splits in 2 up to 2 ajacent targets for +4-26 damage.

Pack Less Powder- Musket Preparation (5 energy 10 second recharge 1 second activate) For 20 seconds you have a 20% chance to fail your musket attacks, but your musket attacks fire 25% faster.

Blazing Powder – Musket Preparation (5 energy 10 second recharge 1 second activate) For 20 seconds your musket attacks light your opponent on fire for 1-2 seconds. You have a +20% chance to backfire and when you do you are set on fire for 3-2 seconds.

Carefully Aimed Shots – Musket Preparation (5 energy 10 second recharge 1 second activate) For 20 seconds your musket attacks fire 25% slower, you have a 20% less chance to backfire, and hit fore 3-7 damage more.

Explosive Defense – Musket Preparation (10 energy 10 second recharge 1 second activate) For 20 seconds when you are hit by attacks while wielding a musket, the foe that hit you takes 4-13 damage and you take 13-4 damage.

I’m Out Of Ammo! *shout* (5 energy 20 second recharge) – For 1-10 seconds the next time you use a musket attack you instead throw your musket dealing 20-42 damage, this skill has half of your normal musket range. Whether or not It hits all your musket skills take an additional 10-6 seconds to recharge.

Intentional Backfire – (5 energy 20 second recharge) – You backfire and take 30-20 damage, all nearby foes are blinded for 2-8 seconds.

Arm Slaughtering Shot – ( 5 energy 11 second recharge) If this hits you deal +4-7 damage and cause weakness for 1-7 seconds.

Interrupting Shot – (5 energy 2 second recharge ½ second activate) All your other skills are disabled for 5-2 seconds, if this attack hits your foes current action is interrupted.

Dazing Radius Blast- Elite musket skill-(15 energy 30 second recharge) This skill causes you to backfire, all nearby creatures are dazed for 8 seconds.

This Ain’t Rocket Science-stance-(5 energy 30 second recharge) – For 1-20 seconds all your musket attacks cost 1-2 less energy, but if you backfire you lose 8-5 energy.

Nervous fire- (5 energy 12 second recharge ¼ second activate)- This skill has an increased chance of backfire 30-15%. This skill also has a 50-20% chance to miss. If this skill hit’s you deal +3-11 damage.

Musket Energy Charge-skill(5 energy 8 second recharge 2 second activation)- If this skill hits you gain 10 energy, but the foe you hit gains 5 energy.

All Out Assault –elite musket skill-(10 energy 20 recharge) – If this skill hits it deals +3-9 damage and causes the foe to bleed, have a deep wound and be blinded for 1-9 seconds.

Learn From Your Mistakes-elite musket skill-(5 energy 10 second recharge 1 second activation)- Your next 6-4 muskets shots backfire. Then your next 3-6 shots cannot backfire, fail, be evaded or blocked, and deal +1-6 damage.

Musket Melee-attack skill-(5 energy 20 second recharge)- Attack for foe 3-25 damage, this skill has a 70-50% chance of setting off a backfire on you and if it does you take 20 damage.

Ariel Assault-(10 energy 15 second recharge)- Fire 2-4 shots into the air. These shots take an additional 3 seconds to hit the target but have an increased 20-40% chance to hit. These shots deal +2-6 damage but hit foes adjacent to the target foe for +1-2 damage.

Head Shot –(5 energy 14 second recharge) If this hits it causes the foe to be blind for 1-6 seconds.

Precision Shot –(5 energy 2 second activation 9 second recharge) – If this skill hits you deal +4-34 damage.

Carpel Tunnel-elite musket attack-(10 energy 17 second recharge)- If this attack hits all your foes “touch” skills are disabled for 1-8 seconds.

Shatter Finger Shot-(5 energy 8 second recharge)- If this hits, one randomly chosen touch skill of your foe is disabled for 1-4 seconds.

Ally Saving Shot-(5 energy 6 second recharge ¼ second activation)- If you hit a foe who is attacking an ally with less than 20% health you deal +1-22 damage and knock that foe down for 3 seconds. If you do not hit a foe doing this skill does 10-5 less damage than normal.

Rage Fueled Blast-(10 energy 6 second recharge)- If this hits it deals +1-34 damage. If you are under attack, or are suffering from a condition you deal +2-7 extra damage.

4 Shot Salute-(5 energy 5 second recharge)- If an ally has died within the last 1-11 seconds you shoot 4 shots. If an ally has not died you shoot 1 shot. The shots you shoot deal +1-8 damage.

Golden Shot-(5 energy 5 second recharge)- This skill has half range, but cannot be blocked or evaded, if it were to be it hits for +1-8 damage. This skill hits for +1-34 damage.

Long Range Jolt-(10 energy 10 second recharge)- This skill hits for +4-10 damage and has the range of a longbow. This skill has a 20% chance to miss.

Stare Down This Barrel-(5 energy 11 second recharge)- If you are adjacent to your foe you deal +5-31 damage and blind your foe for 2-5 seconds and you daze your foe for 1-2 seconds.

Deldimor Steel Shot-(5 energy 13 second recharge)- This attacks flies through the air 2x times faster and hits for +5-29 damage.

Electrifying Power Shot-(10 energy 13 second recharge)- This attack hits for +6-37 lightning damage, the next time the foe is hit for cold damage the foe is shocked and interrupted.

Belly Blaster-(5 energy 14 second recharge)- This skill hits for +6-12 damage and has 15% armor penetration.

Tremble Shot-(5 energy 3 second recharge 2 second activate)- If you are attacked while activating this skill an explosion is caused at your location dealing 8-39 damage to all nearby foes. If you are not attacked while activating this skill you deal normal damage.

Let the sun shine in-(10 energy 14 second recharge)- This attack does holy damage and if it hits an animated creature it causes them and all adjacent animated creatures to your target to burn for 1-4 seconds.

Painful Shot –(5 energy 4 second recharge)- If this attack hits you deal +4-18 damage, but you cause your foe to move 20% faster for 9-4 seconds.

Risky Shot - (5 energy 2 second recharge) - If this hits you deal +7-28 damage, this skill is easly interupted, and if it is you backfire and take 30 damage.




Other Skills

I will take you down too-stance- (5 energy 20 second recharge) For 20 seconds, the next time a foe knocks you down, they are knocked down for the same amount of time.

Unhonorable Beatdown -skill- (5 energy 4 second recharge) Strike foe for +21 damage and that foe is knocked down, after you hit you are easly interupted for 3 seconds.

United we stand, united we fall! -shout-(10 energy 15 second recharge) - For 15 seconds, if you resurrect a target ally, 1 random ally is resurected under the same conditions. If this is active when an ally dies 1 random ally dies too. (An ally dieing or being resurrected due to this effect does not cause a chain reaction of death or resurrection)

Steel Toed Boots -stance- (5 energy 10 second recharge) The next time you are knocked down, you aren’t.

Honor through Holy Removal-stance- (10 energy 30 second recharge) - For 24 seconds you do double damage against the undead

You You’d Better Run! -shout- (5 energy 20 second recharge) All moving foes in the area gain a 20% movement speed for 8 seconds. When this ends they suffer 35 damage and are knocked down.

Anger vs. Honor –skill-(10 energy 30 second recharge 3 second activate)For 12 seconds, If you have any dead teammates you attack 33% faster but deal 25% less damage. If all your teammates are alive they all deal +5 damage.

Eh Crud-skill-(5 energy 10 second recharge ½ second activate) – If you have less than 20% health, health degeneration is negated for 5 seconds, but so is health regeneration.

Show Them Honor –skill-(5 energy 10 second recharge)- Touch target foe for 20 damage. If that foe has killed an one of your allies within the last 10 seconds that foe is knocked down for 4 seconds.

Tug of War -skill- (10 energy 40 second recharge 3 second activate) For 20 seconds, if an ally or a foe leaves the area Tug of War was activated the remaining team of that ally or foe in the area Tug of War was activated is knocked down.

Subtle Deed –skill-(5 energy 15 second recharge 3 second activate) – You invigorate all allies in the area and remove weakness if they are suffering from it. All the duration of their remaining weakness is transferred to you.

Burning Desire-skill-(10 energy 20 second recharge 3 second activation) For 7 seconds you are set on fire from the burning glory of your heart. Your attacks for those 7 seconds cause your foe to be set on fire for 4 seconds.

Signet Of Moral-elite signet-(0 energy 4 activation time recharges when you gain a moral boost) Your team receives +3 moral bonus.

Punish Those Without Honor-elite skill-(5 energy 15 second recharge 3 second activate) – This skill deals 35 damage. If foe is not attacking or casting a spell that foe is knocked down for 3 seconds, if the foe is running away this skill does and additional 20 damage and the foe is knocked down for 1 additional second.

Power in Pride-skill-(5 energy 10 second recharge 2 second activate) – When you activate this skill, if each member in your party is above 60% health, you maximum health is boosted by 100 for 14 seconds.

Dangerous Tension-skill-(5 energy 12 second recharge 3 second activation)- If you have a 2 or more dead party members, or all your party members have less than 30% health, For 12 seconds living party members have 4 damage reduction and deal +4 damage.

Signet of Sheer Honor-signet-( 3 second activate 90 second recharge)- For 7 seconds your team has a 40% chance to block attacks, and when they are hit they take 4 less damage.

And Stay Down!-shout-(5 energy 25 second recharge) For 20 seconds, the next time you knock down a foe they are knocked down for an additional 2 seconds.

Simply Fearless –skill-(5 energy 10 second recharge ½ second activate)- You are knocked down for 7 seconds. When you get up you move 40% faster for 8 seconds and do double damage for 4 seconds,

Danger is Near –skill-(5 energy 15 second recharge 2 second activate) – If there are enemies in your aggravation circle when you activate this skill, for 30 seconds if you lose more than half your health, you and your team moves 33% faster for 6 seconds.

Gather Honor-skill-(5 energy 40 recharge 3 second activate)- For each ally in the area you gain 2 energy.

You can’t fool me twice!-shout-(10 energy 20 second recharge)- For 18 seconds if you are hit with a skill, you cannot be affected by the same skill during the duration of this shout.

Image of a Thug-skill-(5 energy 10 second recharge 1 second activate)- For 15 seconds you deal +8 damage, but have 10 less armor.

Image of a Protector-skill-(5 energy 10 second recharge 1 second activate) – For 15 seconds you deal 8 less damage, but have 10 extra armor.

Go Out With A Bang-skill-(5 energy 20 second recharge ½ second activate)- If you have less than 30% health left you lose the rest of your health and all foes in the area take 100 damage and are set on fire for 4 seconds. If you have greater that 30% health this skill does nothing.

Avoid Conflicts-stance-(5 energy 30 second recharge)- For 5 seconds all attacks against you fail. This stance ends if you attack.

Friends Again-skill-(10 energy 20 second recharge) – All allies in the area gain 10 energy except you.

Fire Of Our Souls Unite-skill-(5 energy 15 second recharge)- If you have 3 or more allies in the area upon activation, those allies attack for +5% damage for 10 seconds.

Rurik’s Spirit Lives On!-shout-(5 energy 12 second recharge)- For 10 seconds all allies in the area have a 30% chance of hitting a critical attack and deal +5 damage, but when they do hit a critical attack the shout effect on them ends.

Master Togo’s Spirit is Forever!-shout-(5 energy 12 second recharge) For 10 seconds all allies in the area cannot suffer extra damage from critical attacks, and receive 2 damage reduction, but if they are hit with any other elemental damage but lightning, this shout effect ends on them.

RAWR-shout-(10 energy 25 second recharge)- All creatures in the area lose 10 energy except you.

Share The Glory-skill-(5 energy 30 second recharge 1 second activate)- If your team kills a foe within the next 20 seconds your team members each gain 10 energy.

This is the last dance –attack skill-(5 energy 14 second recharge second activation)- If you hit a foe with less than 50% health you deal +15 damage.

“The Sky IS FALLING!”-shout-(10 energy 20 second recharge)- All creatures in the area attacks 10% faster and move 20% faster for 15 seconds.

Velocious Pase -stance- (5 energy 15 second recharge) For 8 seconds You move 20% faster.





Those are the skills I came up with, but at the moment it seems actually pretty balanced compared to a lot of the concept classes that seem more like wish classes. I know this is a bit of a wish class… but it’s not like I have a nuke to launch or something. So… that’s it tell me what you think!

lol well i'll be thinking of new skills and stuff... i plan to something at least with this everyday. Skills are kinda harder to make than i thought.. it's too tempting to just have something like LASER GUN deals 500 damage and you gain 500 plat lol. I personally just liked it because it offered what i wanted out of my assassin. Plus muskateers look awesome, as seen in man in the iron mask lol

Yeah i think it is just a matter of time until guns enter the game. I hope it comes with a class that isn't just a gun class and people pick it just cause it seems cool, then it might have flaws or stuff. I think if they want a diverse range/melee class they should look no further than a musketeer.

P.s. First thing i'll try to add to is the defensive things... i don't have a lot of them because it's kinda hard to think of something balanced because it can't "own" expertise... and also it cannot be useless.

Musketeers Honor=crap Soul reaping, make a better one like evasive-ness or being able to double damage or make "Defensive manuevers" primary. I'd love to have a musket though Backfiring is nice too. You have to think what makes this unique, and try not to make it a hosh-posh of different classes. (Looking kinda like a R/W here)

Although, I have seen 'ftw' far, far too many times. Also, a gun might not be all that bad an idea actually.

this class offers more than a gun.

What i don't understand is why people are so anti-gun on guildwars... yet they go play grand theft auto to go get their fix of fake violence.

This is not a modern day gun, a musket dates back very far, i would say much before the ugly city. I mean heck they have cannons... they have gun powder, heck they have all you need for a musket. Added a new skills to denfensive manueveurs *ugg next time i'll copy and paste it, i'm a bad speller *

Reverse footing - (5 energy 30 recharge) *stance* for 1-30 seconds, the next time you hit, or are hit by a foe in a stance, they stance ends and reverse footing becomes that stance that ended, you have the remaining duration of the stolen stance.

I'm UnTouchable! - (5 energy 40 recharge) *shout* for 1-13 seconds Touch skills fail on you, but you take 10% extra damage from all other sources.

We're Untouchable! Elite shout (10 energy 30 recharge) for 1-13 seconds Touch skills fail on all allies in the area, but those allies take 10% extra damage from all other soures.

Helping Touch - (5 energy 15 recharge) Touch target foe *really punch though lol* to deal +1-23 damage, if that foe is attacking an ally (not you still) that foe is knocked down for 1-3 seconds.

Signet of Team Sprit (0 energy 1 activate 20 recharge) Upon activation all allies in the area gain 1-2 health regeneration for 1-18 seconds. If any allies die with the effect on them, the rest of which who it is activated on have 2-1 health degeneration.


A new skill for Musketeer's Honor

Honor through sacrifice - skill (5 energy 20 recharge) For 1-9 seconds, the next time an ally would die, they regain 30-300 health and you lose all health.

A new skill for Musket Mastery

Musket Split Volley - (5 energy 6 recharge) elite musket attack- Hit target for +6-32 damage and and the musket ball splits in 2 up to 2 ajacent targets for +4-26 damage.

That primary is way to overpowered.
The new defensive skills are nice.
(BTW, they already have guns in GW, so stop hating on the OP)

Well i have been thinking of the name... and i was thinking, how do musketeers uphold their honor? Through battle... so i have been thinking that it should help them fight. So maybe it should just boost the damage of the musketeer by 1% per level into it. Although the damage increase may seem slight, it holds balance too. It doesn't give each attack a billion points of extra damage, for a lot it seemed around 5 when it was at rank 12. That certainly sounds useful and fair, not to mention one good think is many great skills come from that line anyway.

i am speechless. i have been looking for a class more in tune for me. This sound awesome. i lkie how you designed every skill. idk about muskets though.
